About
Network Group Solutions was founded on May 1, 1994 by Chuck Scoggins and Joseph Taylor III. Chuck and Joseph had this crazy idea that people would pay for great IT service. The business grew quickly and Todd Green was hired on to help with the growth.
Before the second anniversary, Chuck decided to go another direction. Wishing him well, the two remaining employees forged ahead. NWGS has marketed many different services such as Novell Networking support (NWGS had a Certified Novell Engineer on staff), Windows NT Server, SBT Accounting and a custom application called AIM that was written for and used by the entire Customer Service department of FedEx.
As time went on, NWGS worked to stay ahead of the curve on technology. Realizing that networked applications would be the future, NWGS staff started training on breaking Internet technology like PHP, ColdFusion, Pearl and others. NWGS created many customized applications for their customers. These applications ranged from workforce resource scheduling applications to photo development process management solutions.
NWGS also believes in giving back to the community. NWGS staff have devoted countless hours over an eight year period to volunteer teach students with an organization called BDPA (Black Data Processing Associates). While the children achieved amazing feats at the National level (four-time consecutive National BDPA HSCC champions), the focus has always been on training. This is evident in the fact that even years later, the students still make it a point to touch base with their instructors and share what they’ve accomplished so far in life. NWGS staff have also given their time and money to other charitable organizations.
